Vapers who live in Massachusetts have some new laws effective this week. According to Boston.CBSLocal.com, anyone under the age of 18 no longer can buy e-cigarettes legally. E-liquid bottles now must have child-resistant packaging. Additionally, e-cigarettes can not be used in promotional giveaways or for free distribution.
The attorney general’s law for most of the changes went into effect Sept. 25, while the packaging law will take place March 15, 2016.
Attorney General Maura Healey told the news site that the regulations also ban most sales of e-cigarettes except through face-to-face purchases and not through vending machines except in adults-only establishments. She cites a public health risk of e-cigarettes as the main reason for the new laws.
