The Lincoln City, Neb. City Council has voted, making smoking and vaping prohibited at bus shelters and stops in the city and within 15 feet of those areas. The ban will be enforced by bus drivers, who could temporarily ban vapers and smokers from riding the bus if caught.
The Lincoln Journal-Star reported that the resolution prohibits smoking, vaping or “simulated activities.” Councilman Jon Camp said at the meeting that “he preferred to delay the official resolution for six months. Put no smoking signs up on the shelters but make it voluntary. See how it works for six months.”
