SFATA Shares Weekly Roundup

unnamedThis week, SFATA hosted a webinar for members on child-resistant packaging, the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act of 2015, and testing procedures for this kind of packaging. Lori Mitchell Dixon, Ph.D. from Great Lakes Marketing Research, lead the discussion about testing procedures and what the Consumer Product Safety Commission looks for in testing. Nicotine-containing e-liquids sold to consumers after after July 26 will need to in child-resistant packaging. Members can watch a video of the webinar in the member-only section of the website.

SFATA also released its overview of the FDA deeming regulations this week in an email to members and on its blog this week. You can read the overview and other FDA documents here.

SFATA members are also invited to a complete a survey to give their input on potential legislative and litigation work SFATA may pursue. Many SFATA members and businesses in the industry have speculated about possible lawsuits being filed and what a comprehensive legislative strategy would entail. As SFATA considers these, it is looking for your thoughts on these possibilities and asking what you could commit to providing to these actions. Please take a few minutes to answer a few questions in the survey here.
